If Europe and west ham win next weekend, I'll need Monday off to rest my right arm.

Just love the Ryder cup. Pure passion and there's nothing like beating cocky yanks. Always a huge sporting highlight for me.

Shame my favorite golfer Dustin Johnson isn't allowed to play. Cant see Europe losing unless the big names disappoint.

Watched the official Medinah film a couple of days ago. Well up for this.

Mickelson and Rose in the singles 2012 - what a match. Mickelson's reaction to Rose sinking the putt on the 17th - brilliant. Class act is Mickelson.

Fancy Europe to nick it just about.

One of the great sporting events. Was lucky to be at The Belfry when we last won there, McGinley I think sinking the winning putt. The atmosphere was superb.

Think it could be a lot closer than people think. Gleneagles is a bit like an American-style set-up, and they'll like it there.

Will likely see a fair bit of this, but certainly won't be booking days off and getting semi's over it. It's Golf, ffs.

Love this tournament, been following it for years. Nothing will top the 'Miracle of Medinah'. One of the most fascinating sporting accomplishments I have witnessed.

Hacko 11.00,

Couldn't agree more.

Nothing to do with be anti European & I'd personally vote to remain in the EU , prefeably with revision, but most probably without it anyway.

However, as a sporting event I just can't idenitfy with the collective that's classed as Europe.

Each to their own , but I'll be hoping the Yanks win to bring it back to some form of equal contest given their recent pooor record in this event.

In it's original guise it had become a huge mismatch. Now it is ultra competitive and hence compulsive viewing.

I will be supporting the European team. I would support it even if there were no Brits playing.

PMc Interview was good.. Sir Alex onboard to help the players as a special surprise!

I'm no Man Utd fan as you all know, I am a West Ham fan....

Paul McGinley was just talking about Sir Alex Ferguson, the team etc and said he's a MASSIVE West Ham fan.

Can't remember who said it, but I always liked the yank who told Poulter he wanted to beat him more than any other player. Poulter obviously beat him.

He may be a bit of a bell end, but you can't deny his class in the Ryder cup. He thrives on it and I think from his last 12 matches he has 11 points.

7/1 for top european player.
